Large scale engineering ship model making factory

Analysis of the entire process of making large engineering ship models
1、 Skeleton construction and hull shaping

Dragon bone system
The main frame is laser cut using oak plywood, and glue free splicing is achieved through mortise and tenon structure
The bottom curvature of the ship is processed using steam bending technology to ensure precise restoration of fluid dynamics lines
Shell production
0.8mm aviation aluminum plate is segmented and riveted, with atomic ash filled at the joints and manually polished to a seamless finish
The anti slip pattern on the deck is pressed with etched sheets, and the height of each protruding unit is kept consistent at 0.3mm

2、 Functional component restoration
engineering equipment
The crane turntable is equipped with a micro reduction motor, and the gear set is made of brass corrosion plates
The dredging bucket chain links are made of 3D printed nylon material, which is polished with acetone steam to eliminate layer patterns
Bridge system
The porthole glass is formed by hot bending acrylic sheet, and the inner side is sprayed with semi transparent blue gray simulated explosion-proof film
The radar antenna is woven with silver plated copper wire, and the mesh structure is restored in a 1:1 ratio

3、 Professional painting process
Primer treatment
Spray epoxy primer on the entire ship, and add fiberglass filaments to key areas to enhance adhesion
Coating the area below the waterline with copper powder anti fouling paint to simulate real ship anti-corrosion treatment
Detail Painting
The rust on the ship’s hull is made in three layers: first spray orange red primer, then paint the ochre colored oxide layer, and finally dry sweep the soil yellow floating rust
Warning signs use water stickers combined with softeners to perfectly adhere to the concave and convex surfaces of rivets

4、 Simulation of working condition effects
Homework traces
The grab teeth are embedded with magnetite powder, presenting a matte texture after metal wear
The deck oil stains are mixed with oil paint and turpentine, flowing naturally into the anti slip patterns

Water environment
Salt crystallization effect is achieved by using sea salt particles to fix the waterline onto the ship’s hull
Resin foam is added behind the propeller, and extremely fine glass fibers are sealed inside to create water mist
