Luxury yacht model manufacturer
Luxury yacht model production plan
1、 Material selection and preparation
Hull material: light basswood (easy to carve and light in weight) or hard foam board (easy to shape), with a thickness of 3-5 mm to ensure the stability of small size models
Decorative components: Use metal sheets (copper/aluminum sheets) to make railings, lifebuoys, etc; Organic glass (transparent/colored) is used to create transparent structures such as portholes and swimming pools

Structural material: Fine bamboo sticks (diameter about 2 millimeters) used for masts, nylon wire (thickness 0.5 millimeters) simulating cable systems
Adhesive materials: woodworking white glue (suitable for wood bonding) and instant glue (used for quick fixing of small parts)
Coloring tools: Acrylic pigment (strong adhesion), fine brush (000mm hook pen), matte varnish
2、 Detailed explanation of production process flow
- Shipbuilding
Dragon bone production: Draw a dragon bone line diagram at a ratio of 1:150, cut streamlined dragon bones with oak strips, and sand them smooth with sandpaper
Ship shell splicing: Use white glue to bond 0.5mm thick oak pieces to the keel, with each piece overlapping by about 2mm to form fish scale like seams
Deck details: Use a laser engraving machine or hand carved wood grain on the deck, install a mini swimming pool (can be made of transparent organic glass) - Superstructure production
Flying bridge structure: The flying bridge platform is made of stacked lightweight wood chips, with metal railings attached to the edges
Cockpit: After cutting and shaping the organic glass, use black acrylic paint to simulate the texture of the glass
Helicopter landing pad: a circular metal piece is polished and fixed on the top of the flying bridge, with a protective net made of thin iron wire at the edge - Detail decoration
Ship decoration: Use toothpicks dipped in white glue to stick micro wooden strips to simulate ship seams
Port window treatment: The back of the organic glass disc is painted blue, and the front is outlined with a black marker pen
Small components: Use 0.3mm copper wire to make anchor chains, carve small wooden blocks into lifeboats
3、 Post processing and coloring techniques - Basic processing
Use 600 grit sandpaper to polish the surface of the model as a whole
Clean the model with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to remove sawdust and dirt - Coloring steps
Bottom color of the ship: Apply a thin layer of white acrylic pigment, and after drying, use a gray dry brush to create a metallic texture
Deck treatment: Wood grain base color+transparent clear varnish protection, partially aged treatment
Metal parts: Apply silver acrylic pigment dots and apply oxidation effect locally
Glass components: Transparent organic glass is directly retained, with reflective treatment applied to the edges - Protective layer
Spray matte varnish as a whole to enhance texture and protect color
Key areas (such as decks) can be coated with a thin layer of clear paint to increase gloss contrast
4、 Restoration guarantee measures
Proportional control: strictly produce all components in a 1:150 ratio
Texture simulation: restoring metallic luster through dry sweeping techniques, and aging wood grain treatment
Detail selection: Retain core features (flying bridge, swimming pool, helipad) and simplify micro components
Visual Balance: Enhancing the Stereoscopic Perception of Small Models through Color Contrast
